Over the years, we have worked alongside individuals and families living with chronic psychiatric conditions and understand the importance of providing compassionate, consistent support.

Jody Shapiro
Professional Psychiatric Nurse
Jody is a registered nursing sister specialising in psychiatric nursing, with eight years of experience at Tara Hospital and six years within a psychiatric residence. Her background also includes ICU, oncology and palliative care.
Opening Midway Manor Psychiatric Opening Midway Manor has been a dream of hers and she is passionate about giving the residents holistic care.

Marcelle Ziperstein
Occupational Therapist
Marcelle is an occupational therapist who has many years’ experience in psychiatric care.
She has managed a 75 bedded psychiatric care facility and in addition co-ordinated the opening of an independent living unit.
She holds a post graduate qualification in Vocational rehabilitation. Opening cher own facility has given her a sense of pride and excitement.

Mary Gumbi
Resident Care Giver
Mary Gumbi has 13 years of experience as a caregiver in a psychiatric facility, following her earlier work at an orphanage in Xola.
Known for her warm smile, kind heart and endless patience, she is affectionately regarded as the mother of the house.
She has 2 grown children and comes from Soweto.

Precious Molindi
Resident Care Giver
Precious Molindi has six years of experience as a caregiver in a psychiatric facility. Her mother worked in a psychiatric home, where Precious was brought up.
She is very familiar and comfortable with mental illness.
Her witty sense of humour and is always one step ahead.
She is a mother of a 3 year old daughter and comes from Limpopo.
In addition, we are privileged to have our inhouse psychiatrist who is highly qualified and has many years of experience.
